I am so happy to be connected to the internet again (and so much sooner than I thought!) We have been keeping quite busy these last couple of days and some of the euphoria of being in a new exciting place is wearing off and in it's place is the stark realization that someday I'm going to have to figure out what everything at the grocery store is and learn how to talk to people around here. I did ask for directions the other day and was very pleased with myself, even though my American accent was thicker than I would have liked. However, the woman that I asked for directions did not seem too impressed by my ability to spew out a few french words, but rather annoyed that I had obviously butchered her beautiful language.
For you Google Reader users, I have created an "update" blog to let you know when I have updated this, my private blog. So don't forget to replace my existing blog address with lafamillewhite.blogspot.com in google reader!

So does this mean your phone and internet are up?! I am glad you found a great place... was it the one you had mentioned w/4 rooms? I bet you can't wait to get settled in!
So glad you found something. I am glad you let us know you weren't connected because I actually tried to call you when you were disconnected :)
What a super cute place! Can you put some pictures up of the inside and the yard. That is so wonderful that you found it! I kind of got behind on your posts but have LOVED reading them. I am thinking that I need to steal Ryan's phrase of Putting on the big girl/boy underpants...ha!! I LOVED the park you went to...I just may need to fly out so I can just go to that park! Have fun getting to know everything and hopefully you won't soil those big girl underpants!! :)
Holy moly - it is for real...you are living the Euro experience! I ran into Tobruk Blaine today at a clinic and it brought back good times when she told me about their 10 year reunion. Can you believe it has been that long? Who would have ever thought you'd be living in Belgium back in the day? Love hearing your stories...they are great! Enjoy your time there!!
what a cute place, can't wait to see more pictures. glad that you are connected with the world again-it's fun to read of your experiences.
I am so glad you can see the end of the road. Congrats! We hope you enjoy your fun European experience and that this summer you don't have too much non-deodorant experiences with the natives! Hee...hee.
Lots of love,
I am living my European dream vicariously through you! I have loved reading about your experiences so far...I especially love the pictures of the kids and the beautiful sights. Your new home looks just perfect!
