So much has happened in our little world here since my last post that I hardly know how to catch up, so I'm not going to. Rather I will just begin with a clean slate and start with what happened today!
When Charlotte was born she had a small, dime-sized scar on her forehead, that wasn't really a scar, but something called a nevus sabaceus. It was explained to me as an overproduction of the oil glands in that particular area causing the skin to raise. It's not a big deal now, but as she gets older it has the potential to grow warts and ooze (every girl's dream, right?) So, although she is the youngest member of my family, today she earned the elite privilege of becoming the first person in our family to have plastic surgery. They had to put her under an anesthetic and she did so well. Before the actual anesthetic was given they gave her a little something that made her very loopy. It was hilarious. She was acting like a drunk - a very happy drunk I must say. She kept trying to walk and her legs would buckle and then she'd look at us with a huge sloppy grin like she didn't have a care in the world.
I should have taken a really good "before" picture, but I didn't, so this is the best I have
For you Google Reader users, I have created an "update" blog to let you know when I have updated this, my private blog. So don't forget to replace my existing blog address with lafamillewhite.blogspot.com in google reader!

aww poor little thing. she will thank you later in life though i'm sure when she's not growing warts and oozing.
thats so great charlotte and kate have the same swimsuit. i agree it is the cutest. i'm sad though i got it in 18-24 mos and kate's little belly is busting out of it already.
Poor girl!! Holy moly....so is vitamin E her new friend? Yeah Dean goes in for surgery July 11th.
What a brave girl - even if it is unknowingly! Even braver mommy! When Travis was little he had to go under a similar anesthesia to have an MRI and it was hilarious to see him loopy!! He was sucking on a popsicle on a gurney and then just fell sideways rigth down on the pillow with the popsicle still in his mouth. He couldn't control his muscles and it was so funny!
Awwwe she is so precious...I love the little look right after she came out of it....so confused. I love Charlotte! I'm glad everything went well. She will definitely be thankful to not have warts and oozing! Glad you were able to get it done before you leave.
What a brave baby! Smart to get it done young, she wont even remember.
I am glad everything went well! It looks like she went back to her happy self pretty quickly! She is so cute!
Yeah that's over with! She's such a happy little girl, nothing seems to phase her.
I'm happy to hear it went well and she is doing good. Squish her for me. :)
Poor baby! I'm glad she handled it okay. She looks pretty happy in the last pic:)
whoa! what a decision to make, but I am sure I would have followed in your footsteps and done the same. i hear ya about the anethetic, it's hilarious to see your kids like that, not that you would put them through that often! glad everything went well.
