I have seen some of the cutest tutus on little girls lately and decided that it was high time for Charlotte to join the trend! I haven't really been able to find one that I like for I price that I find acceptable for a baby tutu so I decided to try and make one. Landon accompanied me to JoAnn's yesterday and helped me pick out tulle in all colors of the rainbow. It was so fun! The tutu wasn't as hard to make as I anticipated and it went pretty smoothly. This morning I put Charlotte's tutu on her and I have to admit that I'm in love with the tutu thing. Ask me 10 years ago if I thought I would ever put a tutu on my daughter - much less make one - and I would have said, "No!!!" But oh I am enjoying this girly thing A LOT! The boys even seemed impressed by the sheer volume of tulle around Charlotte's waist because they started calling her "Super Charlotte" and telling her that she was wearing her "super suit." Here are some pictures of Charlotte and her tutu. Get used to the look - I have a feeling Charlotte will be wearing a tutu of some color in a lot more pictures these days...

oh my gosh!!! SO CUTE!!! I love it!! What would you think about making me a couple??!?! I would totally pay for the fabric, the shipping and your time!!! I am just not crafty when it comes to sewing!!! Let me know what you think...I know my girls would love them!!!
charlotte looks so darling! i love the tutu look; my friends make these and said you don't even have to sew, you just tie knots!
ok...so after looking closer, I figure I might be able to handle this one!!! :) how much tulle did you use for hers?? And is it an elastic band for the waist?? I think tomorrow might be tu-tu making day! :)
Jaclyn - you can definitely handle it! :) I used about 3 yards of tulle and 1/2 inch underwear elastic. I cut my strips 4 inches wide. Have fun - I'm sure your girls will love it - email me if you have any more questions!
Awwww...that's adorable!!(As Amanda would put it). Charlotte is absolutely adorable!! I am a total tu-tu freak. Enjoy them while they last. I know that sounds gloomy....but it's true! Can you even imagine Amanda putting on a tu-tu...ummm...NOT!! Well, maybe for school spirit day. Anyway, I love it. I think you are amazingly talented also. I can't wait to see more pictures!
Shes adorable!! Now I know what Ryan would like in one but alot more cute. Sorry Ry.
She's so cute! I'm glad you're enjoying your little princess!
